The Chevrolet Camaro was first introduced in the year 1967 and has its share of ups and downs during the past forty years. Introduced as a response to the Ford Mustang it has been marketed in five generations as a V-6 or as a V-8 power and rear wheel drive, two door sports coupe. Some of the editions included the Camaro RS, Camaro IROC-Z, and convertible and T-top body. GM had built the Camaro in each model year till 2002. This musclecar was continued after 35 consecutive years, ending the production in Canada.
It was idle for almost eight years. The current Chevy Camaro was introduced in 2010 and this latest model is very much similar to the ones of the past. Assembled at the General Motor’s Oshawa Canada assembly plants looks remind you of the sixties classic. The vestigial vents, the hooded headlights, the squared-off gauges ad the dished steering wheel will remind you of the 1967 models. The independent rear suspension will give you a better smoother ride with far less twitchiness.
